It’s on its way! After 56 years, Chevy’s first mid-engined Corvette, the C8, will finally hit the market in just a few months. The C8’s origin can be traced back to the Chevrolet Astro II. Zora Arkus-Duntov, the father of the Corvette, had presented the idea of a mid-engined Corvette for years before testing it out in the Astro II model line. Chevy, however, was more than satisfied with the success of the Corvette, so Arkus-Dontov’s changes were never applied – until now!
