  • Douglas was a British motorcycle manufacturer from 1907–1957 based in Kingswood, Bristol Douglas was known for its horizontally opposed twin cylinder engined motorbikes
  • In 1931, The Great Depression pushed Douglas to bankruptcy
  • Most 1932 and 1933 were leftover inventory built prior to their financial hardship
  • For the 1932 model, Douglas started using dog breed names to expand its product line
  • The 500cc was the “Bulldog” and the 600cc example shown here is the “Grayhound”
  • This 600cc is one of the first motorcycles equipped with a dry-sump lubrication system
  • 4-Speed Hand Shift Lever Operated Transmission
  • This well-restored Greyhound comes in the attractive purple-and-tartan tank livery
  • It is fitted with a Smiths speedometer, 3 authentic leather bags and large passenger’s seat
