2018 Motus MST-R

  • Motus is the Latin word for “Motion”
  • Motus was the first American-made, four-cylinder street motorcycle built since World War II. Founded by two young engineers and constructed in Birmingham, Alabama, at the original site of the Barber Motorsports Museum
  • Powered by a V-4 “Baby Block” with a pushrod-actuated, overhead 2 valves-per-cylinder configuration, the 1,650cc motor was conceived as a downsized one-half of the traditional v-8 engines that powered decades of American performance cars
  • 90-degree V-4 motor is good for 180hp and 126 lb-ft of torque
  • The MST-R is the world’s fastest pushrod production motorcycle, with class speed records at Bonneville of 165.81 mph and 168.69 mph
  • The example shown here has never been titled and shows 12 miles. It is one of the last Motus MST-Rs produced before the company closed in August of 2018
